This spring, classrooms across Florida participated in the second statewide Cemex Florida Earth Day Art Contest. Using recycled material, students created artwork an Earth Day themed art piece around the theme of: Invest in Our Planet.

The contest closed in mid-April and Cemex Florida congratulated all participants. An expert panel selected three winners for their especially creative submissions:

First Place:

Mrs. Studzin’s 10th and 11th grade classes from The Pace Center and the winner of a $500 Gift Card for her classroom.

Second Place:

Mrs. Schade’s, 3rd Grade Academy Classroom from Bradenton and the winner of a $250 Gift Card for her classroom.

Third Place:

Mrs. Gentry’s Middle School Students from Timber Springs Middle in Orange County and the winner of a $150 Gift Card for her classroom.

Cemex Florida offered special congratulations to the contest winners and thanked the participating teachers and students for their hard work and creativity.
