Everyone appreciates a good neighbor, and Cemex is committed to being one. We’ve operated successfully in Hernando County since some of our local facilities opened as early as 1929. In that time, Cemex has invested in community initiatives through grants and strategic donations that promote opportunities in education, sustainability, environmental awareness and civic involvement. It’s one of the ways we maintain good relationships with our neighbors and the community we call home. Many of our employees are active in the community, and volunteer time to support local initiatives. Here are a few of the recent ways we’ve given back to Hernando County:

Cemex is pouring the foundation for greatness at Hernando High School. Our concrete donation for a new, top-notch baseball training facility is an investment in local student-athletes and the future leaders of our community.

Cemex plays an important role in maintaining supply chains that make local manufacturing possible. Each year, Cemex recognizes Manufacturing Day by showcasing the diverse career opportunities available in the industry. Our goal: inspire the next generation of Hernando-grown manufacturers and back opportunities for good-paying jobs that use Cemex’s product.

Have you thanked a truck driver recently? Everyday, truck drivers deliver essential goods and resources that everyone in Hernando County needs — from groceries to cement products! Our truck drivers, many of whom live locally, enable supply chains we need to build roads, bridges, schools, hospitals and other key infrastructure for a growing region. Thanks for keeping Hernando moving!
